The opportunity for recreation in this river environment is unparallelled in this part of the state! The free flow of the river, conservation/observation of the wildlife, and use of the trails by both hikers and horse-riders are all completely compatible. Please retain!!!

Yes, on equestrian trails for caring environmentalists and responsible equestrians. I have been a longstanding member of The Fallbrook Nature Conservancy and a supportive member of its Trail Council. Thank you for your consideration.

This is the best trail in all of S.D. County as written in San Diego Union and S.D. Magazine. I would be willing to pay a minimal parking fee to help support maintenance of the trail. I ride my horse there and walk with many of my friends.Everyone including children really enjoy this trail Please save this trail for future & present generations. Joyce Halliburton

This river canyon is a real treasure in SoCal, and represents one of the finest trail systems I have experienced in my 12 years of trail riding.

Public Trails are essential to a healthy society, especially near our large cities. The wildlife dependent sport of horseback trail riding is one of the only remaining equestrian sports that is accessible to all income levels, and it promotes far more than physical and mental health--it allows the public to participate in the heritage of America. Look at all the Rose Bowl parades--about one in five of all the participants are equestrian groups. The Santa Margarita River Valley is a gem for all trail users and must be preserved in its present use. --John Gabaldon, San Diego, CA

We love riding our horses on trails in this area. Please allow an easement so we may continue benefiting from riding the trails in this beautiful area. Our future generations should also have the privilege of enjoying this opportunity.

Keeping this land as it is, and open for the public to enjoy is important not just for those of us who frequent the trails on foot or horseback, but for future generations. There are so few places like this left in the county.

Public use land as beautiful as this is dwindling rapidly in So. CA. Please keep this area available for CA residents to appreciate and enjoy, lest we are left with nothing but folklore and songs about the beauty of this state.
