I am signing this petition because I feel at the new Commission rules for finally squeeze out my local promotion the bwf with that I will not be able to enjoy local wrestling see the people and performers that I've grown friendships with and I would not be able to bring my grandchildren to a great wrestling event and good entertaining day

Lots of men and women will lose the ability to provide for their family. Then there are also the fans like me that love to support the local talent and promotions.Or for others who can't travel to further events.

It is a bad business model to relegate businesses in the entertainment field such as professional wrestling (though dangerous, it is choreographed) and that of "shoot sports" such as boxing and MMA under the same umbrella of rule as if they are the same thing. Furthermore, it takes income out of the hands of young athletes and promoters alike not to be able to make whatever living they make by limiting the ability of promoters to run more shows. It seems like a lose lose as well for the state. If the promoters cannot run shows, how does the state look to generate tax revenue etc at the expense of the event?

Some of the recent amendments to the NYSAC rulebook serve little actual benefit but stand to significantly harm the livelihood of the performers and the passion of the fans. These new regulations will potentially gut an entire industry. There has to be a better way to regulate professional wrestling in this state.

independent wrestling is not only a sport, but also an art and a place where people come to be themselves.
