This is incredibly depressing. This is the livelihood and passion of so many athletes and fans alike. So many of these rules don't make any sense whatsoever and they are borderline tramping on basic human rights. Something has to be done.

I am a fan and I intend to pro wrestle myself. I'm from Brooklyn and want to wrestle here. I enjoy watching wrestling in my hometown and that shouldn't change for any of the thousands of wrestling fans in NYC. NYC historically is a huge wrestling town and like many different professions the city is the standard. Let's keep it that way!

I am a professional Wrestler based out of Indiana under the name Justin Myers, and I would hate watching people have their dreams crushed because of some politics. Please reconsider you actions before you crush the dreams of those who pay taxes for your houses.

I have covered professional wrestling in NYC for almost three years. A lot of these performers/promoters barely scrape by to put on entertaining shows for the fans -- and build careers for themselves. A lot of performers on the current WWE/TNA/ROH rosters performed -- or still do perform -- on the NYC independent circuit. The NYSAC's new rules will hinder all the tremendous progress these small federations have made and possibly set back the region for years to come. This cannot transpire.

It seems that NYSAC believes that every Indy promotion that runs in NY makes the same amount of money as promotions like WWE, ROH, and the like. What they fail to comprehend is that most Indy promoters have a hard enough time just being able to afford the doctor, yet they want the full ambulance? I completely understand their reasoning behind it, but, one has to be realistic in understanding that most indies run once a month, that while time between shows is the time promoters are getting the funds for the next show together. With some of the new additions to the rules, it's apparent that Indy wrestling is going to suffer in NY state.
Keep the government out of wrestling.
