Preston is a staple in our community! It would be a sin to have it shut down.

I am a graduate of 1994. I am absolutely devastated with the decision to close Preston High School. I have lived in the Throgg’s Neck section of the Bronx for 47 years. Preston has become a landmark in our community. I was just 10 years old when I decided I wanted to attend Preston High School. My daughter who is 11 years old was also 10 years old when she decided she wanted to attend Preston. She was heartbroken when I had to tell the news of the school closing. Preston not only gave me a wonderful education but in my four years there I felt like I was home. I had bonds with teachers and so many students. Some of those who I remain very close to. We learned to love everyone, were taught compassion, to help everyone and to be strong women in the world today. Please continue to keep our beautiful school open and create more strong women in the world.

Do not silence our young women. Throggs Neck NEEDS Preston and the stellar education, life skills, and enduring friendships fostered within those historic walls. P...H...S...YES!

This is a school that is meaningful to it's neighborhood, my family, current, and former students. Tradition, religion, and culture runs deep in Preston and I would love to see Preston stay.

What is happening to Throggs neck? Not the same place, should change the name!!! It’s all about condos and money. Even the nuns are money hungry!!! Not fair.
