We need low- and moderate-income housing for our vulnerable neighbors. The net loss of affordable housing in Rancho Penasquitos harms our neighbors and diminshes our community. Housing is the most cost-effective way to enable our neighbors to maintain health and productivity in our community. Anything short of maintaining the current number of low- and moderate-income housing units increases the fully loaded cost for the taxpayers while subsidizing developers.

One of the safer low income housing available for those who need it. I grew up in this community and thanks to them, we were able to improve our lives. We don't live there now, but the opportunity should still be available.

I have resided in the community for 37 years. I went to OLMC parish when it was held in the gymnasium of Mt. Carmel HS. I have seen PQ grow. I pray our neighbors in PQ Village will keep their families from leaving what they have come to know home for many years. The hardship they face is monumental. We have always been here for one another during trying times. Our community needs to stay together as one unit, afterall that is essence of "comm-UNITY".

A new plan that includes more affordable housing units is necessary. The city of San Diego has admitted there are not enough affordable units to meet the need. Why add to the problem when at this juncture the developer can add more low income units and still make money!

Pls provide more low income housing. It is very sad that the people with low income are paying more than half if their salary just for one bedroom apartment or just one master bedroom in SD.

There isn't enough low income housing in San Diego as it is, and especially in this area. PQ village is in a great location for low income housing, as there are bus stops not too far away. Most low income housing in the area (in 4S Ranch for example) is not serviced by bus routes, meaning that low income families and individuals need to also be able to maintain a car, which can be difficult. Please do not let the developer reduce the number of units available to low income individuals and families at PQ Village!

PQ Village and low income housing should be part of the overall makeup of Rancho Peñasquitos neighborhood, lest we become a society that deludes itself thinking we could marginalize our needier residents. Every Sunday rich and poor break bread at the Lord's table. It is but a matter of justice that those with greater means and influence advocate for others with less thus making the actions of the Eucharist visible through love in action.

I have called Rancho Penasquitos my home for 30 years. I grew up here. The low income condos have been a home for families and the elderly. Where are they to go if they are evicted? There is nowhere in the area they can afford. This will cause a huge problem and can cause possible homelessness. It's borderline elderly abuse. I strongly advise rethinking the building of this new high rent community.

I hope good resolutions are found to help those in need. I lived in the village for 24 yrs and relocated a year ago;) I was very blessed. I worry a lot about my old neighbors wondering their fate. I am praying:)
