Ron and I went to the town council meeting about this when we got there a lovely Filipino woman showed us to the new room not the one designated for the meeting in the paper they told her to stand there and redirect people so when it came time for the meeting called to order they asked if there were any comments so quickly and this young lady was not present so just Sayin' many Philippines were attending to find out what was going on. Contact rancho penasquitos town council to hear about the new building and how many low-income people will be allowed in the area. Warmly, valerian gregerson

I used to live in that area but different apartments. I had a friend that lived there and had felt blessed to be able to live as a single parent with 2 boys she had to support. This will be a very sad change to those who will be affected. They will be displaced individuals with no means of housing.

By accepting the current plan submitted by Atlantic and Pacific Properties, the Rancho Peñasquitos Planning Board is showing they don't care about their "less-privileged" citizens. I have a disabled sister who has lived more than 30 years in those apartment and we have been searching for some time now, but can't find any low-income housing in the area for her to move into. Also nobody from the board, the apartments or the community is helping her to locate a new home. So what is the consequence for her and other like her? Is she going to be thrown out on the street when they begin tearing down the Peñasquitos Village? You can forget my vote come next election should you not make an effort to secure the future of every one of these poor innocent people. Growth in the way this redevelopment plan is now designed is an embarrassment to our Rancho Peñasquitos community. Please give this your profound consideration. Please. For the good of the community, you must reject this plan. Thank you!

With the current state of affordable housing and homelessness in the city and county of San Diego, this project fails to serve the needs of our community. Not only is it lacking in a healthy provision of affordable housing, it displaces hundreds of residents that rely on the already present affordable units, many of whom are elderly. Countless stories from local press have covered the rising rates of a senior homeless population, a segment of the homeless community that require special needs because of different mobility, health, and other specific care needs.
I urge the community planning group to do right by their community and make a decision that reflects the needs of ALL residents.
