People over profit

I am appalled that the city of San Diego, home to many veterans who have fought hard for our country, is planning on displacing the elderly veteran population at PQ Village. The city is demonstrating significant moral disregard for the most honorable and vulnerable of our communities and must reconsider its actions and organize alternatives to provide for the utmost dignity and respect for those brave men and women who risked their lives for our country and are now experiencing a lack of leadership in those we have

Displacing people with no where else to go is not an option.

People shouldn't ever be made homeless? Especially if that's all they can afford then they need it to survive!

I am a single parent of 2 children and have lived at PQ Village for 6 years. It has been a wonderful place to live-very peaceful, quiet, and safe. I do not believe that the current PQ redevelopment plan is in the best interest of the PQ community. My family as well as many families in this complex depend on government assistance to survive. I have been looking for other affordable/low-income housing for over a year and have had a very difficult time finding housing that would be approved by a housing voucher. I am currently on the waitlist for many affordable/low-income housing properties. The problem is that many of these wait lists are 3-5 years long. We need more time. Many tenants at this complex have lived here for many years and deserve to be supported. The city needs to step up and stop this redevelopment and request that a new plan be developed that would meet the needs of our community and prevent homelessness. Please vote against this redevelopment plan. Thank you!

We know you're going to build, but build with current tenets in mind. You will still make money

Affordable housing in the county is a huge problem as it is. Please keep this PQ Village affordable & maintain the current number of low-affordable housing units.

I live in PQ sunset hills and am happy we have affordable housing here. I would hate to see that be taken away from our community.

We can't afford to eliminate affordable housing. Keep the community in tact. Keep PQ Village affordable.

This community must stay true to its commitment to include people from all economic levels. Any proposal should provide for complete unit by unit replacement numbers so no one is displaced.

Low income housing is important to those that need it. All parties should work together on a solution.

A healthy city includes low income housing. Please continue to support low income housing to help a community thrive rather than support developers.
