I grew up in PQ. I had many friends who lived in this village growing up. With the shortage of affordable housing in SD, the developer needs to accomdate more Section 8 qualified housing beyond what they are proposing.

Considering there is a massive shortage of low income housing in general, there should be no reduction in affordable housing in San Diego PERIOD, aside from the fact many in this community will be displaced.

I am a UCSd student in the Urban Studies and Planning major. I am conducting a research project on PQ Village and affordable housing for my senior thesis. I will be at the Planning Commission meeting this Thursday. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you all.

I was a housewife for 16 years mother of 3. After my divorce my husband a lawyer got everything I have no asset, no money and still have to take care of a 10 years old little boy. If I have to move I will not find another place with my part time job as a preschool teacher. I am very worried for my future I need a house for me and my son. Thanks for your action

It is so sad to see that the city is more focus on the homeless population downtown but is neglecting the plight of the majority of seniors and hard working low income family living in PQ village. How heartless of these developers.

The SD City Council should confront the issue of growing homelessness in the city, and rejecting this redevelopment plan is a step in the right direction.
