It's disgusting that the ledgislature is even considering these cuts!

Save the pensions of the hard working Men and Women that protect us in the event of an emergency. The ones that run into terrifying situations to save our lives instead of running away!

Criminal how politicians continue to rob pension of the workers and never compromise their pension and benefits after working 4 to 8 yrs. I worked 32 plus at Detroit Fire and earned mine. making many concessions over that time to relieve the city's pension obligation. for what?

I have been a police officer since 1995. Most of that time I have served on the labor union board as well as the pension board without compensation. During that time, my police union has always made it a point to work with our city specifically so that our city can stay funded without the police pensions/benefits becoming a burden on our residents and business owners. The police officers went nearly a decade without a pay raise while simultaneously giving up many benefits. After all of this, OUR CITY remains financially sound. Despite all of this, the state is looking to step in and strip us of our benefits. Shameful.

I am currently retired, I worked for 25 years and earned everything I have received and deserved. It is time for the government to cut back on the waste that occurs and leave the police and firefighters alone.

It would sure help out a lot of people if we could get our healthcare back.

If we can afford an election recount at $5 million for an individual and party who obtained the smallest amount of presidential votes, we can certainly afford to take care of those who risk their lives and health to protect us.

Please don't pass these bills. So many retirees will not be able to afford cost of living with those passed. And those near the end of their careers can not make enough in an HSA to offset costs in retirement. Also I don't believe it is your right to tell us what we can as a local government negotiate at later dates. That is unfair labor law!

We work with contracts the same as CEO's of corporations and our pay and benefits are the result of negotiations. The negotiations are between the employee and employer.

I strong urge House Bill 6074 and the adjoining 12 other bills related to benefits be either withdrawn, voted against or reintroduced next year year (when there is more time to debate).
Hands off Police and fire benefits
