My husband did not get a raise for 13 years to aid the city in relieving health care costs. Worked 12 hour shifts, swing shifts etc for 28 years, paid into his union and pension and for what? Because politicians want to have a lame duck session and sneak in a bill to take those benefits away? What about their benefits? What are they giving up?

Vote no on HB6074 and adjoining bills and leave pension and health care benefits for or active and retired public safety professionals. Many have no social security. Some paid into a separate retiree health care fund while working to guarantee it.

If any profession needs a good retirement it is the police and fire departments. I would like to see someone in the house of representatives or any of the government offices go out and do what they do for just 1 month.

As an Officer I worked hard and risked my life for 22 years in one of the most violent cities in America Flint. Officers do not pay into social security and retirement money is already tight. Snyder added 200.00 extra taken out in our pension for taxes. This is ruthless treatment by Michigan government. Please do not hurt us anymore by cutting our healthcare.
