We have earned our benefits, our bodies have been tested and challenged, many of us with life long injury and don't deserve to have our benefits tampered with in any way, what we left with is justifiably ours,

Maybe the politicians should give back some of his or her salaries and quit giving themselves pay increases every year?

These men and women put their lives on the line everyday. They should be given more not the government taking away what they have earned and deserve.

I'm tired of Politicians at their wins can use an ink pen to take away what I have earned!!! It wasn't given to me, I worked the years required of me to get what I have. Leave it alone!!!!

You CANNOT keep doing this to those who risk their lives every day. Detroit fire has lost enough.

Please don't do this. Way too many people will be affected by this and it is not the time to ram it through. Retirees and those super close, like myself, have relied on this for 25 years and I feel like I'm being stabbed in the back. Cops are being shot and killed like a hunting game and you want to take health care and pension away. Pretty shameful way to say thanks for your service to your community. Again, please don't do this. My husband is a firefighter, so I will get double whammied. Please do the right thing by your public servants.

Keep cutting back on the benefits that we put our lives on the line for. Sooner or later there won't be anyone willing to lay theirs down for the common good.

Pleas do not support any changes to public employee retiree healthcare and pensions. It's a local issue.

My husband is a veteran with 80% disability who worked in the DOC until retirement. I put up with swing shifts, promised time off after each of my two children which had been arranged for weeks in advance, but all of a sudden they became short-handed and because of medical issues I had during delivery I wasn't to be left alone so my mom had to stay on a sofa for 2 weeks because Rick couldn't take his vacation time. Our health insurance changes and benefits from insurance decreasing multiple times through the years. I have asthma, psoriasis arthritis-rheumatoid type which means I depend on drugs like enbril,, celebrex , and an assortment of pain meds and topical pain relievers. Now, the retirement he was promised for a job that pays much less already compared to the private sector,, is now taxed, and reduced. What exactly will I live on if retirement is reduced AGAIN . I will have to try to keep the house we've lived in for 35 years, with upkeep, and attempt to keep up with my necessary medication. It's hard enough to keep up with my medical bills now. I only worked part-time because of a child who needed close supervision when he was small. Then my work time was shortened by 15 years and I had a knee replaced at around 50 due to the destruction of the disease on my knee. Now it's in the bottom of my feet so walking is difficult and I'm not 60 yet! Rick gave of himself tirelessly for years for the state of Michigan. He went without sleep or poor sleep for years for you, now you treat him and others like a piece of unnecessary trash to be gotten rid of. When representatives take pay cuts, and are required to have the SAME insurance we have, then we can talk! How many of you put your life on the line . Or in our case your family 's life at stake for your job to protect others. I personally have been raped on a night when Rick had mandatory night shift. I was alone with 2 babies when an intruder broke in and threatened and tried to smother me before ra

Pensions provide financial stability after many years of service. Are the elected members of our state (Lansing ) willing to loose their's? It's easy to give away something that belongs to someone else.
