FIVB replaced Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) with a new federation without due process. PVF was never given the chance to be heard and was unceremoniously removed by FIVB as a member. PVF was never given the chance by FIVB to present its side and was completely ignored despite being a member in good standing for 64 years. FIVB, sadly, listened and believed other Filipino officials who were merely after their selfish interests.
As a result of the grossly unfair actions of FIVB, serious consequences have come about. The volleyball teams sent by the new federation have turned in the worst performances in the recent SEA Games held in Singapore. Funding for Philippine volleyball, totalling a quarter of a billion pesos has come to a full stop as the new FIVB-recognized federation entered the picture. And now more than ever, divisiveness is at an all-time high for Philippine volleyball.
In view of all these, this petition is being launched to compel FIVB to take a second look at the Philippine volleyball situation. Hopefully, with this petition, FIVB will take the time to listen to what PVF has to say. Hopefully too, FIVB will rectify its mistake as the collective voices of Filipinos and everyone around the world resonate.

Real stakeholders should be at the helm of this sport and not people who are just interested with the power that comes with it. Due process for an organization that has remain steadfast through the years.
Let volleyball players be represented by volleyball players. We all know that sports programs are developed through years of sacrifices, exposure & love for the sport. Let it not be tainted by politics and the desire for power.
PVF is the legitimate volleyball governing body in the Philippines. What LVPI leaders did was a desperate move to gain recognition to advance their personal interests. Dirty politicking and greed at its finest.
I support Philippine Volleyball Federation. I believe that they could bring life and send efficient players for international games rather than players sent by the LVPI which was overpowered by politics and red tape, if there was any.
PVF has been the organization actively promoting the sport of Volleyball for the past few years. Replacing it with a new organization without due process resulted to division among volleyball supporters. Let's be united to promote and develop Volleyball in the country

I definitely support PVF. I have witnessed the hardships and trials this organization had been through during the time of the late Mr. PEDRO R. MENDOZA Jr. It is so depressing that all the hardwork was not recognized and will be forgotten...
