The Great Basin Volleyball Association (GBVA) is starting this petition in order to show our current dissatisfaction with Intermountain Volleyball association (IVA, USA Region). For the past four years, the IVA has done nothing to promote the growth of volleyball within the Region. The IVA, has had no programs for youth, officials or adults in Utah or Idaho. The IVA continues to stifle opportunities to grow our sport such as High Performance for both indoor and outdoor, but they continue to charge an outrageous membership fee of $70 per member.
We are asking for your support to bring back a strong USAV region to Utah and Idaho. The GBVA will offer programs for boys and girls, an official’s training program for youth and adults, Indoor High Performance, Outdoor High performance, Adult programs, education for coaches and players, a USAV bid tournament, as well as many opportunities to help our members gain access into the USAV pipeline.

By signing this petition we show our full support for a new region of USA Volleyball in Utah and Idaho The Great Basin Volleyball Association.

I have been hearing from so many coaches who are just as fed up with these fees as I am and it honestly makes me wonder why we put up with this nonsense for so long. Someone asked me today if we have a plan for the indoor programs and while I am still mapping out the logistics I can tell you that the current lack of support is not going to last forever because we deserve better than this.

I have lost any opportunity to progress as a referee and no one has contacted me. It has been sad and I'd love the opportunity to grow again.
