Phil and Steve are the most amazing supportive people in so many ways.
Not only have they been there to help with my study and unit content breakdowns but also life/study/social balance breakdowns...
They have a very unique way of making me feel comfortable, not ashamed to ask for help and feel so much better about myself and what I am trying to acheive.
The work and support these guys put in is second to none and I will be absolutely devastated if they are no longer there.
Words can not explain how appreciative I am of them and the unique way they have assisted me on countless occasions...
Losing Phil and Steve will be the biggest mistake Murdoch Peel Campus can make.

The loss of Phil and Steve would be detrimental to the students of the peel campus. They are always heavily booked which shows how much the students use them, to say that the tutors can replace them is ridiculous the tutors already have a huge workload and would not be able to help the students in the same way. The students of peel have little or no facilities on campus but we still pay student fees we are intitled to the same student learning services as the students of South Street. To take away one of our most beneficial services is completely unfair to our students and puts us at a disadvantage to the students of South Street.

Phil and Steve have always been an amazing help to everyone when we have had assignments and exams to study, I can't imagine the uni without them!

These two people are a very important part of the Peel Campus who are very well utilised. It will be detrimental to every new students learning if you take them away. Please leave them there.

Having Phil and Stephan removed from the campus will be a great loss to the students of Peel Campus. I think our campus is great but we do lack some of the facilities South street provide. In saying that, the main advantage of our Peel campus is having access to these two wonderful academics and you want to remove them? I think you should look at your future budget more carefully and refine or shave other areas at South street to allow this wonderful service to stay. The tutors will not have time to provide this service in replacement

I hadn't attended school or uni for 25 years. Thanks to Phil and Steven for helping me transition to formal academic writing. We pay full fees Murdoch and you give us very little compared to South St. Money is obviously your priority over what is fair and just.

if these guys end up losing their roles at Peel, it cleatly show how little understanding the Murdoch "Chiefs" have of their importance. These guys have contributed greatly to the students at Peel and it shocks me that this would even be considered. Put your pens down. Get out from behind your desks and see what actually goes on out in the real world.

To consider removing these guys from Peel you must have absolutely no idea of their true worth and value!!! I can gaurentee that the " drop out " rate will INCREASE if they are no longer available to teach and provide the service they do- Shame shame shame to even consider their jobs no longer viable !

How can they say their position is no longer viable? If anything, their position is quite the opposite. Helping students get through uni with the high standard of support they provide. I doubt the unit coordinators/tutorers will have the time to go through academic writing individually with students on a constant basis.

The services that Phil and Stephen provide are essential. Most students coming through Murdoch are not school leavers and do not have the academic writing experience to assist them in writing to the expected standard. To lose marks for grammatical errors and possibly fail when the informational content of your work is of the highest standard is ridiculous, and having their assistance prevents this.

I don't think I would have gotten through my first year without Phil! Half of the time Phil and Steven are completely booked out with appointments so how can they be viewed as unnecessary resources?! Please let us keep our Student Learning Services team!
