Former salon manager, This is another tool that with the proper training and guidelines in place will not cause issue. This is a valuable tool for groomers and will harm a groomers ability to hold a pet for the required 3 hours and turn out a good product if you decide to take them out of your shops. these tools are determined by pets coat type and also used in your deshed proticol, taking them away is like asking some to groom w one arm. Educate, train your staff and set guidelines and listen to what helps your groomers do their jobs safely and efficently, they are the professionals.

These nozzles are not effective or practical for proper grooming. Lots of money for the COMPANY will be lost.

Please reconsider taking away the tools that allow us to do our job efficiently. Not being able to properly blowdry will double brushing time, which causes unnecessary stress and discomfort to both dog and groomer. Without the velocity the nozzle provides, it is impossible to painlessly remove packed-in undercoat, which if not removed, can hold moisture for days, leaving the dog susceptible to fungal infections. Petsmart groomers take pride in doing what is best for each and every dog as well as sending out good looking grooms. We want to be able to stand behind our work. Pet parents will notice a difference in the quality of their pet's groom as well as the extra hours spent in the salon.

Please bring back our old nozzles! Drying time takes so much longer and I always wrap a towel around the dogs ears and plug my ears up also! Productivity is going to decline immensely and we're all going to have to take less dogs and gain more stress. Please give us the nozzles back!

Used new nozzle today. Doubled my dry time for a roughed in dog. I am heartbroken. I've been happy at PetSmart for 10 years, I'm about to leave.

I've tried the new way of drying and I cannot get a crisp and clean look to the coat without the cone. At a price point of at least twice what other salons in our area charge I feel that once the customers see the difference they will take their business elsewhere.

Nozzles are a crucial tool in grooming, especially for the furminator deshed or any double coated dog. Not only would there still be undercoat it would require extra time to make sure the dogs are completely dry. That would cause a chain reaction when other groomers have to wait longer for the dryer and thus make their pick up times later as well as taking time away from other salon tasks.

Please reconsider taking these nozzles away... It really cuts our time in half if not more.. As long as the safety precautions are taken i dont understand what the problem is. Without these, our quality of grooms go down, our number of dogs that we're able to complete goes down, we become less efficient in the salon as a whole. Thanks for your time.

If you are going to take away the tools necessary for the services you offer then the services and your look great garuntee need to be removed as well as block scheduling and time constraints. Back your ads and support your staff and maybe you would have the ability to keep senior experienced staff.

Petsmart has already taken away the ability to cage dry so many if the most popular and commonly groomed breeds. The stylists NEED the nozzles on the dryer hoses to effectively groom . If Petsmart continues to take away the tools the stylists need maybe they need to stop bathing services completly and just do haircuts. You will never get a nice looking finished product if the right tools arnt provided. As a former Petsmart stylist it's obvious the ass-hats that make these rules have NEVER groomed a dog ever.
PS- the stylists also cannot use muzzles to groom aggressive animals. Good job looking out for your employees Petsmart!

Nozzles aren't the problem! Getting ear muffs is the solution! Or having the dryers in another room with just hoses through wall. Not sure how to make that work, noise is from the motor of dryers, not dryer nozzle!

My dog is a husky mix that needs to be blown out regularly. If your company does away with the nozzles on the dryer I feel as though the job will not be done effectively and I will be going elsewhere. Thank you
