I have taken my dogs to Petsmart for years. Even my poodle with congestion heart failure. I trusted the groomer to make the right decision and use the proper tools. After talking she use dryer and nozzle . Secondary to him looking great was the fact that his health was not compromised.

Whoever came up with this brilliant idea never worked in a grooming salon.

Unbelievable. I see nothing has changed since my departure - "increase productivity, watch your add-ons, you're only allowed 3 hours for two grooms," the list continues. So, how can we screw our groomers more corporate asks?? Let's set ALL of them up to fail. That way, we can JUSTIFY POOR EVALUATIONS which are tied to raises. PetSmart, isn't it time that you got your heads our of your asses and actually let a GROUP of ACTUAL GROOMERS write P&P instead of people who haven't got a clue????

This new policy makes no sense. Thanks for treating us like people who cannot handle common sense. Oh but wait! Do more dogs and increase productivity! Okay! How about you corporate people spend a day or even a WEEK in my shoes. I'm sure you'll want to quit as much as I do. And I've always loved this company and what's it has stood for. But not gonna lie. I don't feel the same as I had six months ago.

I see absolutely no benefits from removing the usage of our various nozzles. Any issue that could arise comes from the associate. And removing the nozzle will not grant said associate common sense or better understanding of a dog's behavior.

I work on 8 dogs a day. I push myself to the limmet every day for my coworkers, store and customers. I can assure you there is no way to continue grooming that amount of dogs with out the dryer nossels. I feel like this is change in policy will negatively affect not only my income but my request customer base and quality of my grooms. Please consider the hardship this will cause all groomers.

We cannot do a proper fur mint or without the nozzles. The new ones are useless absolutely no hair blown out of 2 very hairy Goldens and when pa is paying $67 + 30 it's not right to not be able to do it properly.

This is the most absurd thing Petsmart has managed to come up with yet...

Can't do a proper furminator with these new nozzles. Customers pay big money for this.

We are not children. Direct your attention to proper training. If you do not trust your groomers to make intelligent decisions, then they have not been properly trained.

doesn't surprise me one bit that they have taken the nozzles away we figured it would happen someday when they started tightening the muzzle restrictions which I am sure will totally be banished at some point as well. The dryer nozzle is so important her efficient drying and undercoat removal what needs to happen is more training when not to use the nozzle for dogs that could become overly stressed like elderly dogs and puppies. I have groomed dogs for over 15 years some of that time with petsmart and in all those years have had a very small % of dogs that would get too stressed with the dryer nozzle on, petsmart keeps uping the expectations of the groomers and pushing them to get the dogs done faster yet they make the job harder for the groomers physically and emotionally this call is a bad one for you employees and is not in the best interest of the 100% satisfaction guaranteed grooms

Not only did they take away our dryer nozzles they reduced the number of towels each salon receives weekly. If the dryer noise is bothersome to groomers Petsmart needs to provide all salons with noise blocking earmuffs.
