I am an individual groomer. A cone shaped nozzle is essential for a good groom. Without it grooms will take longer and your groomers won't be able to do as many dogs in a day and you and they will make less money. Unless you no longer want to have grooming provided by your stores?

Each groomer needs to know the dogs limits and not every dog can handle the noise and pressure but most do just fine. It will take so much extra time and effort without the nozzle. And wrist pain holding the hose longer.

Then longer the dryer are on. The more heat they produce. Please keep that in mind when considering stress of the pet and the temperatures of the salons. You are also increasing the risk of groomer injury bay mean of carpal tunnel because we will now have to excessively brush every dog before and after the bath to be sure all lose hair is out.

As a groomer if you were to take away my hv I wouldn't be able to do half the grooms I do. Nor would they look the same. If anything please take into consideration adding that into your groomers training, ie how to handle puppies, an dogs that might be prone to dryer suezuries.

Taking away the nozels will greatly extend the time it takes to groom a dog thus reducing productivity and the amount of dogs a groomer is able to do on a daily basis thus losing money for the company.

This method would take too many minutes to hours just to dry a single dog, reducing the efficiency of all the workers

These nozzles are a necessity especially for thick coated dogs and furminator baths and grooms. By taking this from us, it will take longer to dry our dogs which means the grooming process will be longer which leads to us taking less dogs. Nobody wants that.

Dryer nozzles are necessary for grooming. No good grooms dogs will go home wet, and we won't ve able to groom as many dogs which takes money away from petsmart. "Think about that"

Taking away the High-Velocity Dryer does not only slow down the grooming processes (which allows a groomer to take in less dogs=less business) but it also JEOPARDIZES the QUALITY of the groom. For example; those powered nozzles help blow out the undercoat of double coated breeds which allows for a professional like finished groom (think of Siberian Huskies, Newfoundlands, German Shepherds..). Since its a dramatic look, customers (whom rightfully expect to get their money's worth) will notice the obvious difference and will complain which will effect the company in the long run. THEY WILL GO TO A SHOP THAT STILL HAVE THOSE DRYERS (ie private shops). Also, dogs whom are slightly matted- the velocity dryer helps to BREAK DOWN THE MATTS SAFELY, again allowing for a more desired look from the customer. The more happy the customers are the more PROFITABLE the business is. It is simple, instead of taking away the powered dryer, the company should INFORM/teach the public that the dryer nozzle is not dangerous. In fact all of the attention the dryers are getting from the public are CAUSED BY HEATED CAGE DRYERS. Remember, petsmart does NOT have any heated cage dryers. An inform public is a public that is more at peace.

Taking away our nozzles is only going to make our job 200% harder and take 2-3 times longer per dog. Think about the collies Newfoundland great pyraneses symoyeds Bernese mountain dogs. I could go on and on it would take half the day to just dry these with the new policy. It's only going to get angry frustrated groomers and unsatisfied customers. Change it back. Let us have our tools

J have used high velocity dryers for 20 years. A tool is only as good as it's user. Proper education on the use of these dryers is critical. Not implementing is seriously reducing the potential income for your business as well as your employees. Please reconsider this ban it is based on ignorance and can be used safely and productively with the education of its use. Don't shoot yourself in the foot.

i agree that the nozzle can stress dogs out, but it's always the groomers job to look for signs of stress and no how to avoid an incident. We use cotton balls in the ears for noise, we start slow and do what the pet allows. The nozzle is also essential for ALL furminators and it always helps dematting. I believe that without the nozzles, the furminator package won't be as effective and should therefor cost less.
