We have ear plugs so the noise of a drier shouldn't matter

If I couldn't use a high velocity dryer on pets, I'd probably quit. It's one of the quickest, safest, and most effective ways not only of drying a pet, but blowing out excess shedding fur and mats. It can reduce the need for brushing by up to 90%.

I will have to shave down a lot of dogs that don't need to be shave, think of all those Shelties, Golden retrievers, Collies, Huskies, pretty much all dogs with undercoat. This will make clients not wanting to do business with us. There will be a lot more brushing so that means more brush burn and frustrated dogs, groomers and obviously clients. I can't work for Petsmart in these conditions, it's sad to think that they will loose a lot of groomers and business. Wish people making those decisions were better inform.

Dog groomers is a specialized trade. PetSmart is a leader in corporate grooming. But when you take away our tools that allow to be effective and efficient, those traits diminish. I fear my client base will find alternative grooming salons as I tell them their groom time will increase. Please reconsider the use of the HV nozzles. It not only makes us efficient, it's best to blow out undercoat and mats. Thank you.

Unless PetSmart will allow us to take only 2-3 dogs a day, we need our nozzles, and the both engines on our dryers to effectively and swiftly dry our pets.

I have been grooming with PetSmart for two years now, and with the company as a whole for three years. This is the first time that I have genuinely not understood a new policy or policy change. I don't mind the small inconveniences that often go along with PetSmart's "better safe than sorry" attitude toward potential hazards, but this goes far beyond inconvenience. Today it took me over fifteen minutes to dry a short-coated Shih Tzu, using the new policy, that I would ordinarily expect to finish drying in five to seven minutes. That's more than twice as long, for a small dog with a coat that dries easily! If her coat had been longer or thicker, or if she had been a larger breed, the difference would be even more dramatic. Please, allow us the tools to do our jobs efficiently. Otherwise you may find that many of your best groomers will be seeking new employment, taking their expertise and their loyal customers with them.

First off, this petition is very well thought out and very comprehensive. And it is absolutely correct - without the proper tools, we cannot perform our job efficiently. This critically includes the cone (and flat) nozzle. We will have to do fewer dogs per day, customers will go elsewhere, and ultimately many groomers will leave PetSmart out of necessity and frustration.

this is well written and thought out and absolutely correct. Proper tools are needed to produce excellent results. Removing necessary tools will cause stress not only for the groomers but the dogs who will now have to endure longer drying times and pet parents who must now wait even longer for the grooms to be completed. Please do not handicap your stylists this way. Thank you

We need these nozzles to do our job properly! If we don't have these our pet parents will suffer! Our groomers will be doing less dogs, less money, less customers to please!!! Please reconsider!

Please let us have the nozzles back. Taking them away raised stress levels and decreases efficiency and speed in a job where those are two main components.

This nozzle is essintial to grooming. Without it it make the task at hand much harder to preform, therefore making the groom longer and table time long creating more stress on the pet.
