I attended PJ, k-8th. And all 3 of my sons did also. I am so sad this is happening. I hope they can figure out a different solution and find a way to keep PJ open.

This school is vital to the community. Keeping this school will also prevent the other schools from being over crowed and the children from PJ won't have to spend hours on the bus for transportation to the Coalfiled and Wartburg schools.

Removing this school will do great harm to the community. I was born and raised here.

My children are students at Petros Joyner, we stand behind keeping the school open. Petros Joyner has been nothing but amazing for my children who suffer from ADHD. They have went above and beyond for my child to be able to succeed in every way possible. The staff at this school are unlike any other school around. Here you will find the most loving and caring staff of anywhere. Please keep Petros Joyner our beloved school open!

The Petros community is already poverty stricken and closing the school would be detrimental. There are already kids that rely on school food for their daily meals and there are people living in tents, the answer is more help- not less.

This is stupid to close Petros Joyner School as long as that School has been there; what would they do with the empty building-let vandals come & break out the windows and demolish it! What Idiot came up with that idea! Save Petros-Joyner School

The community would be so lost without this school and these teachers. They played a huge part in my son's childhood.

Listen to the people of this community. They are the backbone that helps hold this county together . Closing schools in the past never improved anything so why would you think it would make a difference now.

Small schools have benefits too. Please consider all options before closing.

That school has been around for years and alot of kids wouldn't feel right at a bigger school and alot of teachers are going to lose there jobs witch is not what we need

Save the smaller schools so the children DO NOT have to travel up to 2 hours each way on a bus every single day.
