Unbelievable! What a poor idea. This seems like stepping back in time. We put HWY 371 in to reduce congestion and make our streets safer for the enormous amount of foot traffic we have, ENCLUDING from all the kids walking from the school. Now the city wants to spend huge amounts of money we don't have to congest the streets again. Unbelievable!
If they foolishly go through with this, illybe pushing loud and hard for a new Mayor and anyone on the City Council that's in favour of it.

Where is the common sense in government? This shows it's as lost as the reason for the bypass that was busy 4 days out of the year. Who is paying for it? All government money comes from taxpayers. This will hurt Pequot even more!

This will cause many consumers to completely stop shopping in Pequot. Due to the congestion in the smaller roads that can’t handle the traffic. Now you will have consumers worrying about getting hit coming out of their favorite restaurants or stores. Remember this is a long time affect to the residence & businesses. Not to mention all the funding that is going to cost the community.
