As a Durris resident we are now cut off from the Drumoak post office, which must be losing a huge amount of business, and from the other routes to the north which we used to be able to use. The fact that this bridge has exceeded its service life is a good case to raise its priority for funding. Aberdeenshire Council and the Scottish government must stop sitting on their hands and find a way to reinstate this bridge that their failure to maintain has brought to this state.

As a resident of Drumoak village, which is practically 'twinned' with Durris for so many reasons, the lack of access over the bridge is not only inconvenient but damaging to our community.

I have elderly parents who live in Drumoak who's house I can almost see coming down Sky Brae, but because of the bridge closure if I need to get to them quickly I have to take an 8 mile detour, so in effect the bridge closure could have life or death consequences, this bridge needs to be reopened soon, does anyone know exactly what needs to be done to reinforce the foundations and how much it would cost

We Lived in Durris for 14yrs 1995 to 2009 the bridge is a lifeline to the Community travelling to And from North Deeside to South Deeside road . Please jeep it open .
