For at least two decades no effective work has been done to preserve this historic and graceful bridge under the guardianship Of Aberdeenshire Council. It is high time the Councillors took their responsibilities seriously and maintained this community link.

An important river crossing that should not be left to rot. Important for pedestrians, cyclists and motor vehicles. Once lost, it will be gone… Please repair this historic and beautiful bridge.

When in the area I make frequent use of this bridge. It’s closure would involve a very lengthy eight mile detour.

The closure of Park Bridge has caused inconvenience for many people, myself included, and the crossing must be opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as soon as possible. Leaving the bridge closed is completely unacceptable.

If Aberdeenshire Council do not restore this bridge for traffic, they will find every excuse simply to let it rot until it has to be demolished. As it is a Listed structure, that should not be permitted.

Really had a bad impact on the post office. You must keep this historic bridge open or is the council going to give Chap the go ahead if they build a new bridge. Sneaky of the council if that's their intent.

If Aberdeenshire council are serious about reducing air pollution and environmental issues they would immediately repair Park Bridge. A detour of 14 miles for 600 vehicles per day adds a whole lot more pollution.
In addition, it will be much cheaper in the long run to maintain the bridge that it will be to demolish it when it eventually becomes totally unsafe.

The bridge is an integral part of the Durris asnd Drumoak communities as well as being a historical feature in the area. The Council should make plans to repair the bridge. What do we pay Council Tax for if not to support infrastructure vital to our local communities?

This bridge is widely used by communities in and around Durris and Drumoak and it is vital that all is done to preserve and reinstate this crossing . The detour via the bridge at Crathes or Milltimber is simply too far - think community but also environmental implications. Aberdeenshire Council should be making the repair of this bridge an absolute priority - perhaps divert money from the disgraceful mowing of wildflowers on the verges before the flowers have set seed.
