It would be a shame if this building was changed or removed & replaced with housing, I have very fond memories of this place my Dad used to drink here many many years ago.

Selling off a useful & historic local building which services it's community well without public consultation stinks!

The Winning Post is part of Moorends heritage and being so should be kept for the Moorends people. It is time the people of Moorends to stand up and tell the council to lay of OUR heritage.

Its perfect for parties & meeting rooms and has a super nursery. It also employs a live in catetaker. They would lose their job & home if it is sold!

Moorends needs more of a community enviroment, not less of one. Selling off the winning post is like selling the crown jewels.

The winning post is a vital aspect of our comminity, it caters for a veritaty of activities, including, bingo on a Wednesday and Sunday, and also Jayne macdonalds school of theatre dance on a Saturday and Monday, also I believe a new nursery has just started here, if it was to be closed and sold for re development where would all these users go for their activities? More to the point I thought this building was lottery funded for the community!
