There surely must be an ability to charge and/or remove LSRCA board members for failure to carry out their duties in compliance with the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan?
When board members fail to protect the very area they are appointed to be responsible for in the U.S., environmental charges have been successfully laid against them.
We need to look into these issues as clearly this body is working for developers and not for the environment!

Prov Significant Wetlands and their surrounding lands must be protected or site alteration - it's the law.

As a long time resident, and environmentalist practicing on a professional level, I am appalled that this matter has come to the state is has. It is irresponsible, and selfish to build on these lands. Like the great John Muir said, its not blind opposition to progress, but opposition to blind progress.

If the application has details that wouldn't get approval from the general public, then why is the organization that is supposed to act for the general public not working for us? If everything was morally above board, there'd be no reason for secrecy.

If LSCRA won't do their job, then there isn't any reason for them to be around. DOE can sit and play games just as well and get rid or a beaurocracry that isn't adding any value.

The development is proposed to be on wetlands in the greenbelt. For good reason, both wetlands and the greenbelt are protected by provincial government. How can the LSRCA justify condoning such a scheme, especially when the LSRCA's sole purpose in life is conservation?

The forest holds a unique Eco system that cannot or should not be altered it offers an area for woodland, wetland, vegetation, bird and animal life why would this delicate area even be considered for development when there are so many other less important areas available. The law is equal for everyone but it is apparent that money again is more important than morals or principals.

We owe it to future generations to protect the environment. It's a moral obligation as well as a social and environmental responsibility. Where is the accountability at the LSRCA to show the public we are all good ancestors in making responsible and ethical decisions.
