Really can older children not push their cycle through the lane, or cycle on the road !! No one suggested doing this when it was St Peter Port School. Another part of Guernsey wanting to be destroyed!

No reason why cyclists can't dismount and walk the water lanes. I take my granddaughters there to play Pooh sticks.

I walk my dogs here every day! No need to ruin the lovely walk for the sake of bikes - why can’t they walk them through there!

My 4 children love the water lanes, we have been walking through daily for the past 12 yrs, my 7yr old son was very confused and upset this morning, the same as many other children. These are a lovely piece of history! Let's make it stay that way

Another piece of Guernsey’s heritage being erased. Soon we will have no recognisable childhood memories left.

A destructive and unwanted decision and a waste of time and resources, erasing some of Guernsey’s history in the process. There is no danger as there are signs telling cyclists to dismount….. Where is the environmental impact analysis on this as the habitat will be destroyed?

Don't waste our money on such a stupid thing! I walked through to/from Amherst when I was a kid and we often played in/around the area, looking for sticklebacks etc What is this for? So that idiots on bikes can race through with no concern about who they knock over?

Enforce existing 'no cycling' rule. No more of this pathetic nonsense.

Please don’t do that just so people can ride bikes along there.
