Save our Water Lanes

Leave the water lanes alone. They are one of the few pedestrian areas left in this area.

What are the powers to be doing to our beautiful udland

So many people use the lanes to get children safely to school, take their dogs on walks and just enjoy the water lanes. There is so much nature and heritage there. Don’t destroy what makes Guernsey unique

The water lanes are one of the last few solely pedestrian nature areas left. Let’s keep it that way, perhaps enforce the “no cycles” limitation instead

They must be saved, so special walking near them, peaceful and tranquil and so pretty.

They must be left alone

Please don't cover over guernseys stunning historic waterways.

I used to walk to Amherst School 64years ago through here. Loved the newts and dragon flies and trudging through the mud in my wellies - bliss

There's no need to do that. Bikes are pushed along there so narrow in places. K used to live in water lanes and grandchildren used to play "pooh sticks' in the stream .

Stop changing the old guernsey

We are not going to let this happen.

Leave the water lanes alone. Why oh why does everything have to be meddled with. Your asking for trouble with motor bikes speeding through there and also the wild life has to suffer yet again.

Please do not make any changes to the Water Lanes. You will ruin the ambience and wildlife. Humans need to be more considerate of their surroundings and the wildlife.

Don't fix what isn't broken. Where there is not room for both cyclists and pedestrians, pedestrians should have priority and cyclists should dismount and walk with their bikes. An unnecessary change, at what cost to the environment and the public purse.
