Keep the water lanes as they are. I have a gate leading to them

Bikes should never be allowed to be ridden along these water lanes. Also where is the money for this waste of time coming from.

Water lanes are a safe place for our children to walk safely to school without the thoughts of bicycles being able to race down, especially teenagers who wheelie pretty much most of the way up on a daily basic, aswell as taking the wildlife away for the kids to enjoy through all seasons.

Please don't do this. Leave it for walkers to enjoy, including people walking with their bike.

Please do not destroy this beautiful and tranquil area by installing a grid to allow cyclists. I regularly walk it with my dog, as do many other dog walkers and pedestrians. It would become an ugly and dangerous place to walk if this is allowed to go ahead

Definitely do not want this overtaken by bikes. Let the pedestrians have one thing please. A place of tranquility and good for wildlife, not people with Stavas trying to outdo their POB!

Loved playing Pooh Sticks in the Water Lanes as a child. Great safe walk to school (Amherst) too. Keep the water areas open so many more children can play Pooh Sticks there & so many more can walk safely to school. Walking to school was an aim not so long ago, why make it more difficult and less safe for children and people to do so.

Its the one safe place where children and adults can walk down without fear of being barged out the way. Today it was wonderful. Children were all together with parents and passers by looking at all the fish and crustaceans in the pools. Please leave it in peace.

Cyclists should dismount and walk through like everyone else this should not be made into a cycle zone

I can’t believe someone thought this was a good idea. I’m guessing it’s Health and Safety suit whose power has gone to their head. Spend tax payers money on something that’s actually useful
