There are more than enough places for bicycles to use. Please do not take away from the tranquility of this space so that another pedestrian only route is taken away. Walking while dodging cyclists is unpleasant and unsafe

No cyclists in the water lanes - do they not have the rest of the island? Enough.

Leave the water lanes it’s been there longer than we could know why change it just so some students need to ride their bike though there should have sorted that when plans were first done

A real peace of Guernsey history, not many old lanes or routes left on the island and this one should be kept as true to what it was when it was first built as possible. It takes you back to the old Guernsey and is such a beautiful walk!

Leave the historic water lanes alone, along with the wildlife that lives there….. please don’t break something that doesn’t need fixing and nobody supports.

Disrupting the one peaceful and natural place in St Peter Port is incredibly sad. The negative impact this will have on the wildlife and ecosystem has not been considered!

The lane is too small to turn into a cycle path as well

Destroying an ecosystem for the sake of being able to cycle through the Lanes instead of walking is unfair to walkers and the natural world that exists within the Lanes.

These beautiful peaceful lanes are not wide enough to accommodate pedestrians and cycles. Please leave these lanes for pedestrians only.

They are a beautiful and tranquil spot in a hectic and very built up area. For those who walk them for a moment of refreshment, plus for the wild life they support, they should be kept as they are.

Guernsey States must take notice of its people, for a change. Go down to the Water Lanes and see how beautiful it is. It will only take 20 mins to walk instead of sitting at a office making changes that we don't need.

We love living off the water lanes, its so tranquil and pretty and a lovely walk with the kids to get them off to nap. We havnt lived here long and when we bought the house it was one of the reasons why we loved it so much! Its also a safe walk for the amherst children going to school so they dint have to walk along a dangerous main road.

The water lanes are a beautiful part of nature. We should try to protect nature where possible.
