It will become a rat run for boisterous cyclists and pedestrians will suffer.
Sort out Collings Road and make fosse Andre one way . Then everybody’s safer.

There are very few quiet areas in St Peter Port. The area of the water lanes is one of them and should remain cycle free.

The water lanes hold so many happy memories, both past and present for so many people, they are a beautiful part of Guernsey's history and they provide a much needed water stop for both wildlife and animals.

This is unacceptable, unbelievable and would ruin this beautiful tranquil part of the island.

I think this is a disgrace. The lanes are a unique part of St Peter Port, creating a safe place for pedestrians around an area with narrow roads and Amherst school. Not too mention the diverse wildlife that call this place home.
Cyclists belong on the road.

The grid must stop for the following reasons;
1 To protect our natural environment. Our wildlife. Our heritage.
2 It is forbidden to ride a cycle, (signs are there) and there are other routes the 6th Formers can use.
3 No-one to my knowledge has ever fallen in by accident. It is another totally OTT Health and Safety issue gone too far.
STOP IT.
