I spent my childhood in this home. My father bought it in 1965 for $125,000.00. It should never, ever be torn down. Anyone have any history questions, e-mail me. It would break my little heart to see it gone. So many Great People Came Thru It Over The Years. Brian Preston Bixby Hotchkis

We have a house designed by Roland Coate as famous as Neff. It is also one story and maybe one of his last. His last one story was built for William Clayton Sr. on Lombardy Rd. near San Gabriel Blvd. Unfortunately L.A. county property, and was bulldozed and most of he old oak trees cut down to make way for what we call the WESTERN WHITEHOUSE.!!!!

I remember this lovely house from when it was owned by Pres and Maureen Hotchkis. They gave a party for us when we moved to our house on Circle Drive in 1968. Wally Neff, the late son of the architect, was a dear friend of ours. We miss him.

It would be a travesty to lose this beautiful Wallace Neff house. Please respect and preserve our history. Once it's gone, you will never get it back.

yet another mansion??? no!!! there are plenty of them in San Marino - many of them empty. lets keep the bintegrity of this beautiful architectural masterpiece in our city.

Please preserve San Marino'so heritage and prevent the destruction of the architectural integrity of the city.

Please stop the demolition of this architectural important home.We do not need another mansion in San Marino.

The proposed structure looks like an apartment building. I believe we are zoned for single family residences. Has this changed? TTearing down a beautiful Wallace Neff in exchange for the proposed structure would diminish our neighborhood and set a bad precedent. Also, the family has not obeyed the Planning Commission's order to remove the commercial gates. Why would you expect the owner to follow any of yhe City's rules and regulations during construction? Thank you.

Please DO NOT destroy an important part of our areas history.

As a longtime San Marino resident, we vehemently oppose any change to this historic home.

Please don't sanction the comlpete destruction of this classic home by master architect Wallace Neff.

Please save this beautiful and architecturally important home!

A house with historical significance should not be torn down.. For 30 years I lived on Oak Grove. I hate seeing what is being built there now. One of the most beautiful streets is becoming a field of hidious mac mansions. This has got to stop

I live in the neighborhood where this house is. It is a beautiful house that should stay. Too many huge ugly houses that are being built. It is changing the neighborhood so much!!

Keep & Save San Marino!! Keep & save historic homes!! This is a Wallace Neff classic designed home!! SM City Council can NOT let historic homes like this be destroyed!!

Let's be smart and preserve history!

This home must be saved! The architecture, and of course the trees are what makes our community so very special (and indeed a "community"). The destruction of these ageless gems to satisfy fleeting hubris must end.

Please stop the destruction of San Marino. Way too much demolishing and adding the McMansion. STOP PLEASE.
