Come on, HRC, take a longer-term view. You know it makes sense.

Come on, enough backwards money grabbing policies in Inverness already. If you want a city anywhere near worthy of the title, support independent initiatives like this.

Hope the right desicion gets made here , these are the people we need to hold onto in Inverness , not price out of business . But sadly have zero faith in the council here

Do the Highland Council really want to be thought of as short sighted? Inovative would surely be better!!!

The Village needs to stay! It's such a unique, quirky idea and a million times better than a huge empty building, which let's face it - silly decisions like this are creating more and more empty shops. I hope they reconsider.

Get real especially when we need as many as possible small businesses to survive and prosper

It's downright silly. The traders of Inverness need all the support they can get.. Without like of the village how else can fledgling traders grow enough to perhaps one day take occupancy of the many empty retail units the town is dominated by. Do the right thing!

Not sure what made this decision so difficult. Just because there are no walls between them doesn't make it any less blatantly obvious that these are seperate businesses run by different people. It's pretty black and white really. This whole thing also completely contradicts any "effort" to support small businesses. "Lets help our city centre thrive by forcing all the small businesses to close" really looks good doesn't it?

If this decision is not overturned and as a result we loose The Village it will be an incredible missed opportunity for Inverness! The Village environment nurtures new and small businesses - we need that the our area.

We need to encourage small businesses in the city centre, not tax them out of existence.
