So instead of letting four individual businesses work together and strive thy would rather have an empty lot that I'm fairly confident will not get filled any time soon by any one else with such ridiculous rates

why close down such an amazing place with such great opportunities for the young to get a business head on and think towards a bright future. Full of amazing people who deserve to be acknowledged for there outstanding contributions towards keeping this place open and making job opportunities possible. The Village deserves to get acknowledged as an amazing place worth saving!

The committee should be ashamed of themselves, this decision is another nail in the town centre coffin,They won't be happy until all the units are empty and the town is just all boarded up. A bunch of idiots making idiotic rulings. Can the courier print their names so everyone knows who did this.

If councillors could see beyond their next free meal they would realise the folly of their ways as far as this decision is concerned . Councillors are almost liabilities as far as the wellbeing of the highlands is concerned

this decision must be rescinded . It is the small businesses that are at the heart of local regeneration; it is these very individuals that will make Inverness a unique place to visit ,not the amorphous corporate businesses that can be found on any High Street. Surely a steady smaller income is better for the Councils coffers than a demand for a figure that will simply not be met . ?!

Furthermore the Council will be indirectly "shooting itself in the foot" if it refuses to acknowledge the rights of small businesses at The Village. It should be throwing grants at places like this which are the only light of hope for this decaying city!! Let's all hope Dave wins!!!

Really disgusted to read on same page how The Village is threatened with possible closure due to the Councils as usual greed whilst an application for longer licensing hours at the highly exploitative strip club where women have to pay to perform is applying to Council for longer licensing hours. If The Village is closed whilst this license is granted then this proves how the Council have reduced Inverness to a seedy exploitative money orientated place with no opportunities for innovative creative ideas and people and is merely driven by greed of a few (most likely) freemason council members pulling the strings. Inverness needs fresh ideas to stop it stagnating into the deeper hole of backwater politics that it already is!!!!

The decision is ridiculous.You just have to look around Inverness city centre to realize the centre is dying.I think Highland council needs to open its eyes and look around.We will end up with bookies,charity shops and expensive coffee shops.s
