Disgraceful way to behave by hall committee

It is disgraceful to shut a nursery with immediate effect and a huge loss of an essential service for working parents. Clearly this is an abuse of power by a parish/ward councillors

It is a worthwhile asset to the village for working parents. Also, the funds help upkeep the village hall for the villagers. I have no idea why it has been closed but the only reasons it should be are for not enough staff to children ratio, not adhering to Ofsted regulations or a safeguarding reason. If non of these apply then it should be kept open.

As a Parish Councillor from a neighbouring parish, this is a vitally needed provision and must remain

We should all get together and NOT vote for Chris Spalding at the next election the only thing about him is is an independent - which as far as I can judge is he is an independent for himself

My granddaughter absolutely loves coming to nursery she has come on in leaps and bounds. I used to work at a nursery when my son was little. It was in a hall so the tradition of this is fantastic. Keep it going it’s the village life . The friends they make now will be friends forever. My son’s best friend is from when they started playing at nursery 24 years going strong.

Disgusting underhanded behaviour

I find this absolutely disgusting that this has been allowed to happen with no notice. A decision made by a handful of individuals who are yet to declare a reason. Our local area has so few provisions for young children, it’s becoming increasingly impossible for parents to work. This just cannot be allowed to happen.
