Save our View Canton

I do think there are other places for this

Canton is full of other places to build this thing.

Please save the View and do not buil the parking garage. Find an alternate solution for parking.

Large parking facilities immediately invite more traffic flow - in this case to an already congested area. Move the parking garage to the perimeter of the area and provide clear signage for foot traffic (add more ADA parking downtown). A few circulator trolleys funded by parking fees would also help move people AND/OR invite and support private transportation by creating pick-up and drop-off points for pedicabs and private vehicles at the parking garage.

Surely there is an option for the parking garage that makes more sense.

Canton is in need of downtown parking. I just wish there was a better place to put something like this.

This will be an eyesore in historic Canton! It will add noise and pollution to the historic cemetery. Please find an alternative.

A re-design of this parking deck is imperative. Canton's special smalltown visual character will be seriously impacted. Take a look at the way the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead has dealt with their parking. Much more sensitive to the surroundings.

There are many more options to consider.

Save the view!

Preserve the history and beauty of Canton and surrounding area. Don't replace it with concrete and pavement! Preserve the courthouse and cemetery nearby.

As a Canton native, with family who still resides there, I vehemently oppose this.

Historic charm is what brings people to downtown Canton and it's what keeps the downtown area, and its businesses alive. The Historic Courthouse is the centerpiece to downtown. The currently proposed parking deck will jeopardize the charm of downtown and the Historic Courthouse, in particular. I hope there are alternatives to the massive, modern looking parking deck that is currently being proposed.

I find it odd how quickly this was approved without ever hearing much talk about it. I want to see other options!

Please stop this !!

I understand the need for more parking in downtown Canton but please don’t destroy the view of our beautiful historic courthouse, the art center and the Riverview Cemetery.

Please consider another option and location for the parking deck.

I am pro modern amenities, but not at the expense of losing our historic charm in downtown. These plans need more input from the community.
