access to safe drinking water is a necessity. Our tax dollars have helped pay for the infrastructure to have water in other parts of town . Cutting us off from clean drinking water and making us pay for it when we have to travel and carry heavy water jugs is just not fair. We will pay when we also have water service directly to our homes

This is a shame!

How could they make such a significant decision without understanding the impact?

Leave the taps free flowing for residents. All residents deserve access to clean drinking water. Our taxes paid for the infrastructure.

I lived in Virginia and relied on these pumps in the summer months when the dug well couldn’t keep up. Keep the Black River tap open and accessible to eastern Georgina residents.

I was totally disgusted when I read this article in the paper. How dare they think up ways to squeeze money out people who are already suffering with loss of income due to COVID. Where is their compassion for others.

My partner and I have a well and rely on the taps to fill our water jug for drinking water. It’s wasteful and expensive to buy water bottles all the time. Save the taps!

My family as well as many of my neighbours live here year round in our home, we depend on the taps for our main source of water drinking, cooking ect. Please help us in this situation as this is our right to have proper access to drinkable water. Thank you.

Ive been living here for 40 + years plus camp up here for 5 years before moving to Georgina. I always use the water supplied . I dont think its right to shut all but one. Also its not right we have to pay for s key to get our water. Why dont they hire someone to check make sure it's use properly and fine the people that using it illigally.

Absolutely necessary to keep free water available at all times. Not sure on who did the research that deemed these taps were not safe.

I shudder at the cavalier attidue of the infrastructure manager.

I use the municipal water at Black River & Park on a regular basis. It provides THE ONLY drinkable water to a hour of four occupants. We have a dug well that is always teeming with coliforms and no means to drill a new deeper one.

Disgusting that a decision was made without public knowledge. I have clean drinkable water and can't imagine those who do not .... Cooking, indoor plants and pets. Come on Georgina..... No need for keys... Just open the taps for those who need it.

Our well water is not potable. Without access to municipal water, we’d have to buy water. An expense we can’t afford at this time.
