A hotel has just been built in Brixton it doesn't even need that one. Londoners need homes not posh hotels, it's ridiculous.

Great bar - far more valuable to the area than a hotel

This cannot happen! SW9 is a stalwart of Brixton & the local community and must be supported!

This place is a hidden gem! Don't let it get replaced. Take one of the many posh chicken or burger shops instead. This more character than it's worth to get rid of

The last gay(ish) stronghold in Brixton. We're being assimilated to the point of blandness.

Stop ripping the heart out of London for bland corporations and profit. Keep killing small businesses and we will end up with endless chains with no character and no one in them.

Such a great bar it's been the setting for many a meet up. As if the area, like many others in London, doesn't have enough places already threatening to turn it into a "clone town". Hoping the local businesses triumph.

SW9 Bar has long been an iconic part of Brixton's social scene and it will be a sad day without it. We need more of these special unique places, not more expensive flats. I've been going to the bar for years and it has a special, unique vibe.

This venue is the heart and soul of so many vibrant musical and social scenes, would be criminal to take this away from Brixton

OK Lambeth Council, so how much do money do you stand to make from this little venture, while you destroy more of Brixton culture in the proceeds..? Is there no shame in your organisation, where profit & greed comes before the community..!..?
