LEAVE SW9 BAR alone we don't need any hotels this bar has been part of my friends and family's life for a very long time we meet up here have had some great times here birthdays funerals etc it a meeting point for lots of people this can't go it's our hub of brixton and great staff too SAVE SW9 BAR.

No more great establishments being overthrown by vapid, corporate businesses. Why would anyone want to go to Brixton when eventually it loses its edge?? SW9 needs to stay

It will be a travesty if this much-loved local bar is forced to close. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with Brixton!

Stop killing our culture and building hotels over it. Brixton is a a hub of community and culture slowly being eroded and disappearing at the hands of property developers who don't live here and don't see what they are doing to the neighbourhood in the name of £££

We like many venues in London are fighting to remain in business too.
31 years of service to the Night Time Economy of Brixton.
We started when Brixton was a place nobody wanted to go let alone invest time and money in.
As with most areas that are run down and neglected. The big named retail companies will not take the risk with their money to invest. So it is down to the courageous, which always seems to be the ‘Cultural and Entertainment industries’ who take up the gauntlet to lead the way.
Against all the adversities, we put our shoulders to the wheel.
We work hard. Invest our all. Go without anything other than essentials. The business comes first. Concern is forever for the wellbeing of others who we work alongside with. Our customers are treated like friends and family. We all build and create our business into a happy home where all are welcome.
Then along comes the greedy people, who sit on the side lines with their pockets full of money that others have put there, waiting for the opportunities to cash in on all the hard work others have done to make an area a good place to be. Then slowly like a thief in the night take over little bit by little bit pushing out those who have struggled to make good.
Developers as they takeover to build expensive flats, Hotels, multi corporate companies opening their chain brands in the area outpricing or pushing out those who made it the place to be.
WELL ENOUGH IS ENOUGH……LET US ALL UNITE TO HAVE A SAY IN WHAT WE WANT, TO BE RECOGNISED FOR WHAT WE HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO HAVE MADE BRIXTON WHAT IT IS....AND TO REMAIN WHERE WE BELONG.....

Another example of long standing & successful Brixton businesses being kicked aside for something that has not been identified as a pressing communiy need - A hotel.

SW9 is a part of what made everyone want to move to Brixton in the first place. Stop this shameful selling off of our unique character and sport. Shame on everyone involved. This is our home. Hands off!
