Brixton has lost enough places that make it special already.

It is a lovely bar, and I've been going there since it opened. Why can it not coexist with a new development?

Dear local council members. Please, for once, remember that you represent the local people. So please, for once, listen to us. We don't want another big development like this. It brings money to the developer and money to you. There must be other ways to get money for the council that can be explored. This hotel is not something the locals will use. All you will do is take away something that we love about area from us, again. We want to keep the independent and unique businesses (like SW9 Bar) which make living in Brixton enjoyable. Just once, please restore our faith in the council and government generally and just make a decision from your heart that you know the community wants, not a decision based on money.

These developments are getting rid of the reasons people like Brixton in the first place. Killing the golden goose!

This is a brilliant Cafe that deserves to continue serving the Brixton community and not be bullied out by greedy investors who have not interest in the area except to make money

Take your hotel and stick it in the sea. (Sorry, fishies.) SW9 Bar needs to stay.

Stop ripping the heart out of a great community. Protect the institutions that make Brixton the diverse cultural hub it is, don't destroy them

That lovely little bar/restaurant should be able to remain in brixton. It's been there 20 years, stop changing brixton' s history

I met my future wife here long before brixton was trendy. It was unique then, and still is now.
