If it wasnt for the freeze brand on my horses neck who was stolen and sold to the amish where he was abused and starved I would not have been able to save him and another horse I saved because of his freeze brand that I had foaled out for a cheap ass person he would have been butchered PLEASE KEEP THE FREEZE BRAND GOING

The freeze brand is the best way for i/d purposes and stands out. I know they have been tampered with but the horse is still identified as a Standardbred. Microchips will only work if a scanner is available and used!!

A visual ID such as a freeze brand is sometimes the ONLY way to identify Standardbreds and rescue them from a horrific end. Microchips can be useful, but not when the only way to ID a horse is visually.

We need both the chip and the tattoo to identify our Standardbreds and protect them. My horses are registered in Full Circle at the USTA, they MUST be easily identified when they need help.

I would not have rescued my standardbred without his freeze brand to find out who he was. He looked 32 & like death. He was Edgewood.. he is 18

You can most of the time tell at a glance who the standardbreds are. I fear for the crop of 2021.
