Where I do like the micro chopping idea I totally agree with you on this! Until we can find a better solution to “ The Kill Pens” freeze branding is the way to go!!

yes the rescues need the visual tat to be able to identify these horses in the killpens n there's plenty there week after week.

It’s simple. Really. Freeze brands provide the best opportunity to identify these horses, and save them from a horrible fate. Freeze brands should continue to be the gold -standard for identification purposes.

Standardbreds also need visual identification such as freezebrands. Many will go straight to slaughter if they are only chipped.

What possible reason can there be, to eliminate the freeze brand...except to make it harder to trace the people / owners who made money on these horses...and then want no responsibility for their safety in later years. You all ought to be ashamed.
