Play squash 2-3 times per week at Derby, but due to work times I rarely book a court. Extremely disappointed to be losing the courts as it is my main form of exercise at the club. Surely Blaze could be accommodated in one of the many club rooms. What's next Tennis, Badminton??

Closing the squash courts is a real shame, squash is the original and best form of HIT, not only building strength and stamina but also coordination and mental agility. No form of circuit training will be able to benefit the participants as much as squash can. The variety of racket sports is a key part of David Lloyds exclusive brand; why does the club want to risk its brand in this way?

Very disappointing decision and not representative of the needs of the members of the club.

It would be extremely disappointing to see the squash and Racketball courts removed completely. Not against Blaze but surely there’s a better place to put it rather than see 2 racket sports disappear completely from the club.

I would be gutted if they go as I play squash most weeks and with the winter coming around they are great for fitness

David Lloyd centres are suppose to have racket sports as in the membership and squash is a racket sport

I don't recall being consulted on this action. If the club is being run for the benefit of the members surely it ought to ask our opinion. There must be an alternate to taking away an entire sport.

We should have all been consulted. It was very shady the way it's been done.
