What a joke. How they can they treat a non profit organisation that does such a fantastic job for the community like this?

Disgraceful and underhand behaviour from the local council, so wrapped up in their own personal glories that they have lost sight of the needs of the community they claim to represent.
HSA makes a fabulous contribution to life in Hazlemere through its team of volunteers and member clubs. The peppercorn rent is wholly appropriate and must be retained by the Parish Council.

Hope we can save the pavilion. It has so many purposes whether it be sport or social.

As well as housing a number of sporting activities, this pavilion is widely used by local people wishing to hold a private party to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc. HSA provides a great service and facility to them all.

I am appalled at the proposal of the parish council. They feel that 40 people expressing positive interest in an outdoor gymn justifies spending over £5,000 of my money, yet when they have volunteers working in the community they feel more of my money should be spent on having lawyers talk to them.

Commercialising the pavillion will mean rates rising to unfavourable amounts which means the potential tennants will try alternative venues. In the long run, revenue will be lost (not in the short term) then the utility will fall into disrepair and become unusable. By maintianing the current use, more care is taken by the voluntary tennants therefore maintained to its current high standard. The decision will be a short sighted financial one and should not be allowed to proceed to the Council.

Absolute disgrace. Typical money-grabbing council!
