The council are not asking for a ridiculous rent as HSA are paying £0. The council want a fair rent only. If HSA/HSA Ltd decide to go then the sports facilities will all be available as before, hopefully they will see sense and agree a lease at a fair rent for the Hazlemere tax payers who pay £40,000 plus per year to cover the debt of this building.

If this is a council's way of supporting the community it is elected to represent, then I think they should reconsider their position and make way for people who care about the community!!

It seems you do not like the facts or the Truth, 2/3 of HSA members do not live in Hazlemere, fact ! This is a private members club.

Bizarre comment ! The council is committed to improving the community and ensure the facilities are available to all members of Hazlemere.

This council are supporting a business plan for a Skatepark, they are putting in outside gym equipment this month for the community in Rose Avenue, including the disabled. They have and are refurbishing the play areas for the younger children. They are working on solving the traffic issue in Rose Avenue, They implemented a new website including an on line booking system, etc , etc.
Try reading the council minutes or go to a meeting !

Unfortunately you do not know what you are talking about, the HSA/HSA Ltd pay nothing, its all the members that pay these minor costs out of there fee's which go directly into HSA Ltd, a private company. HSA have this £1m building for £0, including maintenance of the recreation ground. The minor costs of a little lift maintenance, heating, lighting is nothing compared to what the tax payer/council is paying £40,000 plus per year and Hazlemere residents cannot use the facility unless they become members !
The £5000 that pre school pay for using the Parish Council pavilion/space goes direct into HSA Ltd for doing nothing ! Plus the tens of thousands of pounds from members, hiring, Bar, etc.

I am dimayed at the proposed actions of the council. This is not the approach a council seeking to serve its residents should be adopting.

I live at hp136qw area and attend a Pilates class on a Monday and Thursday morning. It is a superb location and facility and would be a great shame if it was to price itself out of the market snd have to close. It is well run by a very efficient lady.

How can you justify this, when now more than ever, you should be encouraging communities to interact more without charge? Shocking.

We need local subsidised sports groups and facilities for our children not money making schemes by the parish driving up the costs!!

The parish council is asking a ridiculous rent for a sports pavilion. If the sports asociation are forced out, who will run it? Another loss for Hazlemere

This is aimed directly to "The Truth". First of all, what a silly name. Are you too ashamed to reveal your "true" identity rather than hide behind a terrible lie. On a more serious note. Unlike your belief, I am not a member of the HSA. I have been a guest on many occasions at the mentioned venue. The majority of people attending the various events were in fact Mr and Mrs Public, with no other affiliation to the club apart from being residents of the local community having a good time in a local venue.
