This story brought tears to my eyes. How could anyone do this? Our special kids deserve a school like any other children. Why are "their kids" more important than "ours"? This is a perfect example of discrimination, and I hope this awful, heartless plan does not go through. They should really be ashamed.

Keeping this school is beneficial for these children learning as they are teached by sets of professionals who are used to them, who knows which techniques works best for their learning. They deserve to have the equipment needed just like any other student. Is it fair to take what is their needs but allow other children to get what they need ? As parents wouldn't you want your child to get the best as possible ?
So why should we take what benefits these sweet hearts ?
Let's keep this school for the benefit of our sweet special needs.

It's a disservice to this community to close a special needs school... my family has been active with special education, from teaching, adaptive technology, to my grandparents who attended Texas Day School for the Deaf. Do not close this school and send thes special kids to places that simply cannot give them the services they need.

For the past 3 years my grandson has been going to Onorado, he loves it! It has great teachers who take care of the children like they where their own. The play yard is great, my grandson has learned to walk up the stairs to the slide, loves the swings and a lot of space to ride his special bike. There is so much more this school has provided for him. He looks forward to going to school all week, he can tell when it's Monday! He knows the ride, the building, the buses, the teachers , the other children and most of all the he knows where he is, at his school .

Hope this helps. My little brother is special needs and all special needs children need all the gelp they can get. They should never have those rights taken away from their normal everyday life that they have grown accustomed too.
