Save our Special Needs School!

Every child has a right to education in this country.

My name is Vanessa. My little cousin attends this school. Without it she wouldn't get he education she needs. Please keep this school needs.

Being a school bus driver for special needs, I have transported children for many years to these schools and have personally seen what a wonderful program each of these schools offer.

Please help

This is ridiculous that I even have to sign this! These types of schools are extremely important in out society!

I just wanted to say thank you for your comment. It really it home for me. I've been able to drive away from this school each day not having to worry about bullying, safety or my daughter being accepted. I can't imagine her going to a mainstream school with out her parents there. by her side .She just doesn't understand and she can't speak for herself. It terrifies me to the point that I would just rather keep her home which is so unfair to a little girl that loves her special school and her special friends.

This is appalling. No consultation is not acceptable. These children have a right to safe appropriate education, not being forced to integrate into a mainstream school.

I may not have a child in this school, but i do have a son that is in speech therapy, and if there was ever a need for him to go to a school that specializes in special needs i would want him to go there. Where else could he be accepted? When we are out in public playgrounds and kids wonder why he doesnt talk and when he does talk why he doesmt talk right. Other children getting mad at him when he tries to copy other kids in hopes that he can be funny and fit in. And children get mad at him because they think he is doing it to make them mad. I know that his speech will improve and he may not need the security that this school provides, but i would want it to stay so that those parents of special needs children can go home knowing that their child is learning in an environment that he/she is comfortable in and is happy to be at school.

Please don't do this the kids need this to thrive to the best of their ability and if u take that away they might regress and it would be a devastating moment for these parents. Please reconsider.

Special Needs Children already feel out of place and constantly judged. By taking this school away you are taking away their feelings of belonging and proving their place can be taken away anytime. With all the ECI changes many are facing why add to their fear of misplacement. Parents make your children's voices be heard thru you they deserve a fighting chance at education just as much as "normal" children. I have 4 children total and only one with special needs believe me I know about both sides.

I've watched the impact this school has had on our severely disabled grandson and family. The dedicated staff, professional programs, incredible equipment and overall positive atmosphere has been wonderful. Watching my grandson, who cannot walk, 'walk' and play and interact with others has been wonderful. The school has worked extremely well with my son and daughter-in-law as a partner to their amazing commitment, love and dedicated work in raising and including their son in the family's life. What is done at Secret Ravine School CANNOT BE DUPLICATED as an add-on to regular schools. That would simply be an excuse for effectively dropping any real commitment and help for families with severely disabled children. Please reconsider. Please Reconsider. PLEASE RECONSIDER!

Please save this school, this is a necessity not just a regular school

Please hear the voices of the school in support of these children who need a supportive place to learn at their level and get the services they need.

This sounds like lawsuit in the making. These children have special needs that most school are not equipped for. This is just plain wrong. I encourage all the parents whose children will be affected to take action now and consult with an attorney. Your children have rights

My brother and his family have always raved about this school and how important it has been in their lives. They have inspired me with their love for their children and their ability to live life to the full even with the burdens of a special needs child, but taking away this school would create hardship upon hardship. So many people need to know their voice is heard and their children are cared for and are more than just a number. This school does that for them and for many other families, please reconsider the importance of this school in the community.

I have heard wonderful things about this school from parents. It would be devastating to the future of the children enrolled if it were to close down .

My nephew goes to this school and has been amazing for him! Please don't take this away from our family.

This is special and worth doing, These kids need this school.

What is wrong with this country

These special children need a special place. I implore you to consider the special needs necessary for these special needs children.
