It would be a massive loss to the towns youngsters and the walking football members who use this facility to keep fit and healthy.

This was a gift from the national lottery for children in the community for help in keeping children active it’s also used for league tournament for u9’ & U8’s teams where will these teams & the children play?

Nearly all the young footballers in the area have started playing football at this facility.
It would be a crime to not allow them to use it.

I am the Chairman of the Wigan & District Youth Football League.
We have for the past 8 years ran our mini soccer under 7 /8 League from the Soccer Dome.
Last season we finished with 73 teams playing football each Sunday Mornings, thats over 750 children each Sunday playing.
To be kick out with 5 weeks to the season starting is a blow to all the kids who play there each week.
Wigan Athletic have given no thought to the community, in Wigan and the areas around the town.
We now have a few weeks to try and find a new home for the 700 children to play football each Sunday, I am discussed with the way this has been handle by the club.
