My grandson plays with his football team on Sunday. They will now have to find an alternative venue such a shame.

Fantastic facilities for young children. My son plays football and has been playing there. Why take away WAFC? For your own benefit? Not a lot of facilities left for children to be active anymore

Such a shame, but the tenant Powerleague is effectively bust as the business just didn't make money. If WAFC are taking over to use for the academy surely they can open it up for the general public when not in use

The Wigan Community cannot afford to lose this outstanding facility which has served all ages so well over a long period.
Whilst the Soccerdome has mainly provided facilities for fitness and recreation it also has an excellent function room upstairs for hire at reasonable cost.
Finally it’s closure would be particularly sad because it is served by some outstanding staff members who have been a joy and privilege to deal with.

played in some great walking football tournaments there. i believe its very well used, especially for kids. just seen post from keith harris re youth football league...wigan fc think again!!!

Was an excellent location for the U7s/U8s Sunday league football, shame of the closure.
