Save Our Soccerdome

My son loves going to the football sessions here

My two children play football here every week and have been to countless parties. In a time when healthy lifestyles and fitness are being promoted by NHS and grass routes football is being promoted by the FA; it seems ridiculous to close a facility without offering a suitable and appropriate alternative - which is of the same standard. This is a decision which will impact greatly on people of all ages, right across the Wigan community.

Such a shame . Disappointed in Wigan council allowing this to happen. Not looking out for the community WAFC, I thought you were a community team !!

I thought Wigans deal for health and wellness was priority so why is the dome being closed when all ages use this facility.

My Grandson goes there every Saturday football training with hundreds of kids, so how my team wigan athletic can close it is behond me as we are a community club

So many children use this facility. It should be saved for community use as it was intended

Keep the soccerdome for use by the public, repurpose it to keep it relevant and profitable as you see fit, but it's for OUR use.

So sad that this facility is being taken away from our children. It will affect so many adults and children in Wigan

My little boy plays with his team at soccer dome please don’t close it

A very sad situation for our young boys and girls who love playing football. How can anyone take this away from them? Why? How can this be allowed? Absolutely no motivation for our young players we should be encouraging them to play not depriving them.so many teams will fold as a result. Absolutely shocking that this has been allowed to happen. What do we tell our budding players?

My son is part of the wigan youth team that plays there every Sunday and trains there on a Friday. Now it’s closed we have no other form of training scheme

This is affecting local grassroots football

This was given to serve the community. Wigan council need act on this for the best interests of our town!

Save it for the Kids!!

Please keep open to public as there is no place like this for kids to train. The council needs to step up here

Been here watching my grandson play football lots of kids having fun. Either find somewhere equally acceptable or keep them there

We needs safe places for our young people to have leisure time and to develop their skills.

Please dont take it away,we need this for our children.Somewhere safe and fun for them.
