I grew up in NH in the 1980's and benefitted immensely from the high school ski jumping programs around the state. I can remember Coach Pearson bringing the strong Plymouth High Ski Jumping Team down to Newport for the State Jumping Meet. On more than one occasion Plymouth won the State Jumping Meet and a Plymouth jumper with the last name of Dunlop held the hill record at that time. Plymouth needs to keep its jump operational so that current and future ski jumpers can continue to enjoy and build on the legacy of Plymouth Ski Jumping!

I'll never forget bringing home Kennett Highs state championship title in 2009. It wouldn't have been the same without Plymouth there to compete with nor would the season have meant as much with the Plymouth jump taken out of the picture.

What is so unsafe about the structure that it needs to be torn down. What would be the difference in price between tearing it down and repairing it. Of course you never repair something, you just eliminate it Wish I was at home right now and I would ride up to Plymouth tomorrow for the meeting.

I am an ex ski jumper originally from Berlin, NH. It is a unique sport at every level and should be encouraged in NH high schools. This great part of NH heritage should be protected whenever possible.

Tearing down the jump is not the solution. We don't need more safe activities, we need to learn to take more risks safely. Let them jump!

Ski jumping is a dying sport in this country. The US team isn't sponsored by the U.S. Ski team. NH is already the only state with inter scholastic ski jumping as a sanctioned sport. We must do all we can to continue to drive this sport forward for both current and future generations. Losing this site entirely would be a huge detriment to the NH ski jumping community.

By saving and repairing this ski jump, not only will a valuable facility be available to the ski jumping community, but a safe and thrilling sport will have been supported for current and future ski jumpers. As a jumper I am excited to see this jump kept alive.
