High school ski jumping is unique to very few places in the U.S. -- and New Hampshire has a long history of providing this sport to its high schoolers. Rebuild the jump. Keep the tradition and keep offering unique choices for high school students to pursue their passions.

It's part of Plymouth pride, history, and unique to the area in which we live. Let's maintain it & keep our kids practicing /jumping here! Its story alone begs this solution.

Comer to a jump meet and see a great bunch of kids with smiles all over their faces. TYhey root for each other and compete strongly. And they are off the streets.

The personal development that comes from ski jumping is unlike, and I would argue- greater than, any other high school sport. The personal challenge of dealing with risk and fear on an individual basis, yet doing so in the supportive atmosphere of others who are dealing with the same risks and fears, provides growth that serves the individual and the future communities they will grow to join. Other schools/AD's/coaches and parents would move heaven and earth to have what Plymouth seems ready to discard. I hope the School Board will reconsider.

Ski jumping is unique to NH high school sports. My brother and friends enjoyed this sport a lot and it was formative to their high school experience.

Tearing down a skl jump removes a piece of the culture of your town that will never be replaced. Ski jumping is 27th on the list of most dangerous Olympic sports. Right between swimming and curling. The most dangerous sport in the Olympics is soccer. Put a parking lot on your soccer field and fix the jump!

Plymouth HS is one of three High Schools that still maintains and offer competitive High School competitions at their schools. New Hampshire is the only state that has High School Ski Jumping competitions. These kids have the opportunity to do something different and unique. Most will only compete at the High School level, but some have and will go onto higher levels and possibly the Olympics. If the jump needs work then I implore Plymouth HS to fix it. Don’t eliminate a sport that many kids have participated in over the years. I am a mother of a HS Ski Jumping State Champion and Junior Olympic Gold Medalist. I encourage you to please take the steps needed to keep this unique sport and tradition at Plymouth High School. Kathleen Doyle
